| The territory of this village was settled as early as in the late Stone Age. The village was founded as a settlement round the Gothic castle named originally Děvčice, Děvice. The first written trace dated back to 1385. During Czech-Hungarian wars in the 15th century the castle was destroyed. In the 16th century the castle was rebuilt into the Renaissance chateau, which was, in turn, rebuilt in the Baroque style(17th century). |
